Caring for your Hugwarm

Very little is asked of you. The outer is plush flannel, the lining is sherpa fleece, and the heating panel sits between them. Follow the five lines below and it will look and feel the same next winter.

Washing

• Unclip the controller and power cord first. The blanket never goes in the wash with the controller attached.
• Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle, on its own or with similar colours. Mild detergent, no bleach, no fabric softener.
• Do not tumble dry. Lay flat or hang to dry away from direct heat and sun.
• Do not iron, dry clean, or wring out.
• Make sure it is completely dry before plugging the controller back in.

Day to day

• Fold it loosely. Avoid sharp creases across the heating panel; roll it rather than folding it tightly for storage.
• Keep the cord and plug dry and check them for wear now and then.
• If you spill something, blot with a damp cloth and a drop of mild soap. Don't scrub the sherpa.

Safety

• Use the auto-off. It switches the blanket off after four hours so you can fall asleep in it.
• Don't use it folded or bunched while switched on, and don't pin anything through it.
• Unplug when not in use.
